Mbombela came alive with Lowveld Citrus Festival

The Lowveld Citrus Festival that took place over the weekend on Fiesta Farm at El Roi Guest Lodge promised to be an event to remember, and it did not disappoint.

Since early morning, people from all around the Lowveld region came in droves to be part of this fresh take on a Lowveld festival.

The festival was packed with entertainment for young and old. Market vendors and exhibitors displayed products to pique everyone’s interest – from homemade gifts to delicious food stalls and various motor and machinery displays.

The festival provided more than enough entertainment for the little ones as well, with a kids’ zone with ample activities to keep them occupied.

Live entertainment was provided by local artists and entertainers showcasing their talents, whether it was live music, dancers or fire performers.

The four-day festival was brought to a close with the ClemenGold Colour Splash fun run and it was clear that locals are already excited to see what the next Citrus Festival brings.

To top off the festival’s feel-good atmosphere, El Roi Guest Lodge, in conjunction with Fiesta Farm, has chosen White River Hospice as their charity of choice for this year’s Citrus Festival.

A percentage of the weekend’s ticket sales will be donated to the Hospice to show local support and lend a hand to their community.
